About Us

The concept of MedIndex originated in 2003. The amount and availability of professional medical information is ever increasing and while this at first glance seems like a great advance, sifting through that information to find relevant, reliable information is becoming more and more difficult and time-consuming.

MedIndex is a solution to that problem and has been developed by doctors with doctors in mind. By searching only peer-reviewed articles and only clinical review articles and guidelines from respected organisations, and by manually indexing the articles, we provide a fast, focused search and a gateway to reliable up-to-date clinical information.

Dr Audra Barclay , a registered medical practitioner, indexes the articles. Audra has several years clinical experience and several years experience in both medical education and medical publishing.  Currently, she currently is Convenor of the Clinical Component of Clinical and Communication Skills for Phase I at the University of NSW. In addition to this Audra writes and develops continuing educational modules and activities for general practitioners, in particular she is responsible for the development of and writes Medicine Today's CPD program.
